Cómo identificar un buen té matcha

How to identify a good matcha tea

We have already talked about the properties and benefits that this variety of green tea offers. Nowadays it can be found in almost any marketplace; There is a wide variety of brands and suppliers, however, not all of them offer the best quality. These are the aspects you should take into account to identify a pure matcha tea and give your body a real dose of antioxidants .

1. Origin

Read labels and packaging information very well; The key is in the place of origin. Matcha from Japan is considered to be the best quality; Look on the packaging for names of places like Uji, Kyoto, Shizuoka, and Kagoshima , so you know it's of the best quality.

2. Color

The dust is a bright green; This tone should be maintained once mixed with water. If it looks slightly yellowish or brown, it is not 100% pure.

3. Texture and consistency

It should be a super fine powder that is silky to the touch. If it feels grainy, it means the particles are larger because it was not finely pulverized.

It should dissolve almost instantly , it is not necessary to mix it as much, regardless of the temperature of the water. If you notice lumps forming, change suppliers.

4. Flavor

Be careful here because this can be misleading since everyone's palate is different. Contrary to popular belief, matcha should taste smooth, slightly sweet and fresh.
